Canterbury City Council by-elections on 6th March 2025

Liberal Democrat candidates will be contesting all three seats in the upcoming by-elections to Canterbury City Council.

By-elections will be held to fill the vacancies on the St Stephen’s, Herne & Broomfield, and Gorrell wards of Canterbury City Council.  The Liberal Democrat candidates are as follows:

  • St Stephen’s: Christopher Palmer
  • Herne & Broomfield: Derek Maslin
  • Gorrell: Nick Parry

Christopher Palmer has lived in the St Stephen’s ward for 19 years and is an active member of the local community.  Christopher commented; “I know our local issues and will bring dedication, enthusiasm and a long-term commitment to the role of representing residents of St Stephen’s… A vote for me will not be a wasted vote!”

Polling Day is Thursday 6th March. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Don’t forget you need to show proof of identity to be allowed to vote.
